Why ASC?
“Your most precious possession is not your financial assets. Your most precious
possession is the people you have working there, and what they carry around in their
heads, and their ability to work together…” - Robert Reich
ASC Financial Management has been in the business of providing INDEPENDENT professional
advice on financial matters to individuals, families and companies for almost a
decade.
It prides itself on providing a strictly personal service that is mostly built on
referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations.
ASC’s two advisers are directors Gary Hanmer and Tony Castrey, who have more than
55 years experience between them in the industry.
They have two over-riding principles - LISTENING to what people need and using PLAIN
English to cut through the morass of financial jargon.
Mr. Castrey said: “The only certain way of understanding our clients’ requirements
is to listen to exactly what they would like to achieve and then tailoring an appropriate
solution.
“We always try to build mutual trust and often get great satisfaction from being
able to analyse all the factors in play and providing the best possible advice.
“It is important, in our view, that we strip away the technical jargon and explain
precisely what is happening at every stage.
“We have made many friends along the way because, ultimately, our task is to provide
clients with financial security which, in turn, makes them happy.
“Our long-lasting reputation has been built upon this simple philosophy.”
Because Gary and Tony are not dependent on any other financial institution, they
are able to present wholly impartial and tailored advice.
In addition, they are flexible in their charging structure. The first consultation
is free and sometimes the cost of their advice could be covered by commission payments
rather than fees.
The company keeps up-to-date with new developments and legislation by exploiting
the latest technology.
Mr. Hanmer said: “We advise on just about every financial matter.
“This ranges from simple contracts for protecting a mortgage to complex life assurances
set in trust for inheritance tax planning.
“We deal with shareholder protection cover and stakeholder pensions right through
to a self-invested pension plans (SIPPs).
“And we arrange saving plans from a few pounds a month to hundreds of thousands
in a single premium investment. We are also used as consultants by local companies
for setting up Group Personal Pension Plans.”
He added: “Because the financial world is changing so quickly these days, more and
more people are needing specialist advice that is both independent and down to earth.”
